1. Introduction & Acceptance

Welcome to Appentic, a cloud platform for deploying and managing web applications. Appentic enables you to deploy applications directly from GitHub with managed databases, automatic TLS, and built-in monitoring.

Appentic is operated from England, United Kingdom. By accessing or using Appentic, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Service Description

Appentic is a software platform that enables users to:

  • Deploy web applications from GitHub repositories
  • Provision and manage PostgreSQL databases and Redis instances
  • Run background workers and scheduled cron jobs
  • Configure custom domains with automatic TLS
  • Manage environment variables and secrets
  • Monitor applications with built-in metrics, logs, and shell access

The service is provided “as is” and is subject to ongoing changes, updates, and improvements as we continue development.

3. Content Usage & Ownership

Your Data: You retain ownership of all data associated with your account, including application code, database contents, environment variables, and deployment configurations. By using Appentic, you grant us a limited licence to process and store this data solely for the purpose of providing our services to you.

Restrictions: You may not use Appentic to:

  • Resell or redistribute hosting or compute resources as a separate service
  • Scrape, copy, or systematically extract platform data
  • Circumvent usage limits or platform restrictions
  • Host content that is illegal, harmful, or violates third-party rights

4. User Accounts & Responsibilities

4.1 Account Creation

Appentic uses Google and GitHub OAuth for authentication. By signing in, you authorise us to access your basic profile information (name, email address, and profile picture) as detailed in our Privacy Policy.

4.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of the accounts used to access Appentic. Please report any unauthorised access immediately.

4.3 GitHub Connection

By connecting your GitHub account, you authorise Appentic to access your repositories for the purpose of building and deploying your applications. You may only deploy repositories that you own or have authorisation to deploy.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Appentic to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Host or distribute malware, phishing sites, or malicious content
  • Conduct cryptocurrency mining or other resource-abusive activities
  • Send spam, conduct DDoS attacks, or abuse network resources
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract our platform technology

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our policies, without refund.

6. Intellectual Property

The Appentic platform, including its design, code, and branding, is our intellectual property and is protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of our platform without permission.

7. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. The platform may experience:

  • Temporary outages or downtime for maintenance
  • Changes to features or functionality with notice
  • Resource availability variations by region

Our services depend on third-party cloud infrastructure which may have its own availability limitations. Appentic is not suitable for life-critical or safety-critical applications.

8. Limitation of Liability

Appentic is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Appentic and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

  • Use or inability to use the service
  • Application downtime or deployment failures
  • Data loss or database failures
  • Infrastructure outages
  • Unauthorised access to your account

9. Privacy & Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms of Service by reference.

We comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. You have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, rectify, erase, and port your data, as detailed in our Privacy Policy.

10. Billing & Payments

Appentic operates on a pay-as-you-go model. You only pay for the resources you provision. Payment processing is handled securely by Stripe. By using Appentic, you agree to:

  • Pay the applicable fees for provisioned resources
  • Provide accurate billing information
  • Maintain a valid payment method on file

Resources renew automatically each billing cycle. If payment fails, resources may be suspended. A free tier is available with limitations as described on our pricing page.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the bottom of this document. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users through the platform.

Your continued use of Appentic after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with the new terms, please stop using the service.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to Appentic at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to violations of these Terms of Service.

Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease. All deployed applications will be stopped, databases will be deleted, and any associated resources will be released. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Appentic shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
